Tivo
After expierencing shows Tivoed (taped) it is hard for me to watch regular TV other than sports live. It allows you to skip through all the pointless stuff like commercials and usless time during shows. Shows such as Deal or No Deal it takes an hour for a contestant to open 20 cases, because of commercials and the host Howie Mandel drags out the show to try to create more intense moment. When we Tivo the show we can just fastforward untill they open the case watch it fast forward to the offer and continue the process. It takes about 15 minutes of real time to watch the hour long show, thats 45 minutes of garbage that cable pumps in erased!

Man I love tivo, like you said it takes way to long to watch shows, and with this you can take an hour show, down to almost twenty minutes. My only thing is it never works for sports because someone always tells you the score before you can watch it.
