SRU Hockey

Many People dont know but Slippery Rock University has a great Ice Hockey team. One of my roomates plays for the team and my friends and I try to make it as often as we can. Unfortunatley there practice and games are in cranberry, and with gas so high and a college budget its tough to make the over 60 miles roundtrip. Even though the team is only club the level of competition is great. They compete against several Division I schools including penn state,pitt and WVU. The team is currently 20th in the Nation and in contention for the National Playoffs. So check out some good hockey at the Blade Runners Rink in Cranberry.

Headset for Linebackers

I saw on Sportscenter yesterday the NFL is voting once again on wheather the middle linebacker or captain of the defense can have a communication piece in there helmet. It would be the same device Quarterbacks have in there helmets to recieve the offensive plays. It has been voted against for the last several years. I don't understand why teams dont want a defensive player to have a headset. With the patriots spygate for stealing signs from coordinaters this would elimate that ever happening again. Plus i dont see what the big deal is they already have it for the offensive why not the defense?

Intro

My name is Wes Arnold. I was born in Monongahela PA. I am 20 years old and a sophmore at Slippery Rock. I grew up for most of my life on U.S. Army Base in germany. I graduated from Hohenfels American Military High School. I didn't miss out on much growing up there, because there are over 40 military schools in europe. We competed against each other in sports. I played football, wrestled, and baseball. I love the Steelers, Pirates and Pitt football and basketball.
