SRU Hockey
Many People dont know but Slippery Rock University has a great Ice Hockey team. One of my roomates plays for the team and my friends and I try to make it as often as we can. Unfortunatley there practice and games are in cranberry, and with gas so high and a college budget its tough to make the over 60 miles roundtrip. Even though the team is only club the level of competition is great. They compete against several Division I schools including penn state,pitt and WVU. The team is currently 20th in the Nation and in contention for the National Playoffs. So check out some good hockey at the Blade Runners Rink in Cranberry.

I agree, I've always tried to go to the games, but when they don't have a bus it's hard to find a ride or afford gas money. Their team is really good and I've always wanted to see them play since some of my friends are on the team also.
that's sweet, i didn't know that. they should start funding for a hockey rink. i from western new york and hockey is really big at smaller colleges. if a rink was closer, i'd definately go.
I had no idea that we had an ice hockey team that is that serious. I think it would be awesome if we got some sort of rink either on campus or closer so that more people can go to the games. I know that some places college hockey is HUGE, and I wish that we could get the same kind of excitement for the sport here. And you know that I am all about hockey, and the pens!!!!!! So this hits close to home!
